Sugar in this recipe is for the most part from the whole fruits sources. This nice cream is very high in protein with 15g of protein for serving which is excellent to balance any potential sugar spike. Another way that it balances your sugar is with an abundance of fiber at 9g per serving. It is also high in potassium, calcium, and vitamin C. Obviously, it has a way better nutritional content than traditional ice cream.
It is also high in some fats, but they all come from really healthy fat sources which are the almonds and coconuts in this recipe. The nutrient content in this recipe will make you feel more full and it will also help curb those sugar cravings which will prevent you from any further snacking. However keep in mind that one serving of this nice cream is 350 calories, so if you are trying to lose weight, you might wanna back off on the coconut and almonds. That will help you save on a few calories.
