I am so proud to introduce you to my Almond Joy Nicecream!

Have you ever made banana “ice cream” (a.k.a. nice cream) and struggled to scoop it? I’ve tried all kinds of weird ingredients to make banana ice cream scoopable -I even tried with bean juice (aquafaba)- and haven’t had much luck.

Fortunately, I have discovered a fun ingredient that actually works! Have you guessed it? It is liquor! Indeed, the alcohol contained in the liquor prevents the nice cream ingredients from over-freezing. Here I opted for some Malibu liquor, which goes well with the almond, coconut, and banana contained in this nice cream recipe! With this simple tip, you can easily make your banana ice cream just as good as real ice cream!

Check out my video to show you this secret ingredient along with my delicious Almond Joy Nicecream recipe; and, for the nutrition nerds out there, a little more about why this vegan ice cream recipe is healthy for you too.

Almond Joy Nicecream: vegan and paleo recipe

My Almond Joy Nicecream recipe is both vegan and paleo (click here for more Pegan-compliant recipes) and has a way better nutritional content than traditional ice cream. Let’s see why.

First of all, the sugar in this vegan nice cream recipe is for the most part from whole-fruit sources, which helps to avoid any abrupt sugar spike and gives you more sustained energy (click here to learn why).

Second, this banana ice cream is very high in protein as well. indeed, it contains around 15g of protein for serving which is excellent to balance any potential sugar spike. Another way that it balances your sugar is with an abundance of fiber at 9g per serving. It is also high in potassium, calcium, and vitamin C.

Finally, this banana ice cream is high in healthy fats which come from the almonds and coconut contained in this recipe.

Overall, the nutritional content in this nice cream recipe will make you feel more full and it will also help curb those sugar cravings which will prevent you from any further snacking.

However, keep in mind that one serving of this nicecream is 350 calories. Therefore, if you are trying to lose weight, you might wanna back off on the coconut and almonds. This will help you save on a few calories.

At this point, I cannot wait for you to try this healthy banana ice cream and my funny tip for a creamier end result!
