Healthy Creamy Mashed Potatoes

Thanksgiving dinner calls for Turkey, mushroom gravy...and creamy garlic mashed potatoes! 🥔🧄 The good news is that with my recipe you won't need lots of butter, heavy milk and cream to make some tasty healthy creamy mashed potatoes!

  • Peel potatoes and rinse. Place potatoes in a large pot and cover the potatoes with water. Bring to a boil and cook until they are easily pierced with a knife and on the softer side, about 20-25 minutes.
  • Drain well and transfer to a bowl. Use a potato masher to mash the potatoes to your desired consistency. Mix in the other ingredients, adding milk and yogurt slowly until you have your desired taste and consistency. Add more salt or garlic, if needed.
  • Serve hot with vegetables and a lean protein! Try my mushroom gravy with the potatoes (see notes*).
